Health Fair - Juneau County


Reserve your spot at the upcoming health fair hosted by Mile Bluff Medical Center on Thursday, April 9.  Receive free blood pressure and blood sugar testing, and learn what your risk factors are for developing heart disease and diabetes. In addition to these services, you will have the opportunity to receive a free hearing test; and cholesterol screenings will be available for a small fee. 

Appointments are required for all services, and are available from 7 to 11 am; hearing screenings are available from 8 to 11 am.  Call 608-847-1845 to reserve your spot today!

Parenting program available to those with children 12 months, younger - Juneau County


If you’re a new parent, you already know that there is a lot to learn about babies.  You can’t prepare for everything, but Mile Bluff can answer some of your questions. 
 
To assist you during the first year of your baby’s life, Mile Bluff offers the Hand-in-Hand parenting program.  It is designed to help provide you with answers for dealing with some of the most common situations that arise during your child’s first 12 months of life.

The Hand-in-Hand program is held the second Monday of every month at 4:30 pm.  The next meeting will be Monday, April 13 and will focus on infant massage.

The Partners of Moundview Memorial Hospital & Clinics are holding a Pampered Chef Fundraiser. The Partners will receive 20% - 25% of all sales to help raise funds for hospital equipment and services. Friday, April 10 - Grand Marsh American Legion Post 273 Monthly Meeting will be held starting at 7 PM.

Saturday, April 11 - Kids' Day will be held at the Adams-Friendship High School from 10 AM to 2 PM. This is a free event for children and their families with activities geared toward toddlers to fifth grade. The Adams County Sheriff's Department K9 Unit will give a demonstration at 10:15 AM and musician David Landau will perform at 11:30 AM and 12:30 PM. For more information call 608-339-8328.

Saturday, April 11 -  The 10th Annual Prairie Chicken Festival will be held all month long as a celebration of the grasslands in Central Wisconsin. Sponsored by the Golden Sands Resource Conservation & Development Council. For a list of events go to  www.prairiechickenfestival.org

Wednesday, April 15 - Second Harvest Food Bank will be distributing food from 4:30-6 PM at Adams-Friendship High School. The mobile food pantry is open to everyone! Please bring bags or boxes and wagons or a wheeled cart to help carry food.  Please do NOT arrive before 3:30 PM so that we can safely dismiss students at the end of the day. 

Thursday, April 16 - A Blood Drive for the BloodCenter of Wisconsin will be held at the Friendship Village Hall from 11 AM to 4 PM. All attempting donors will receive a pass for up to four people to Mt. Olympus Waterpark in Wisconsin Dells. Walk-ins welcome.
